		<description>Sometimes, I miss Alabama. 

 Re: hotel chains renovating old hotels/historic buildings - it&#039;s too bad that oftentimes they are the only ones that have the money to pull off a historical renovation without ruining the building&#039;s integrity - but hey - at least someone is doing it! The hotel company I used to work for did a great reno on a bank in downtown San Diego (albeit under the Courtyard brand).  

Check it out if you&#039;re ever in San Diego. Another AWESOME place is the 21C Museum Hotel - downtown Louisville, KY (if you ever wander to those parts...) Oh - they also did a incredible reno of an old Masonic building in Providence, RI under the Renaissance flag.</description>
