About me
I am an award-winning journalist (Emmy, National Headliner, duPont and Peabody Awards) who has lived in places as exotic as Hawaii and as middle America (literally) as Kansas. For now, my husband and I make a home in Atlanta. I’ve held the following titles in my life: aunt, champion boogie boarder (self-titled), CNN producer, contributor, daughter, doubles tennis partner, foodie, friend, granddaughter, lifeguard, reader, runner, senior publicist, sister, twin, waitress, wife, writer, and yogini.
Burned out on the pitching process that every freelance writer must endure, I decided to take my story ideas into my own hands (or fingertips as it were) to see what would pop … danapop.

About danapop
Our lives our constantly flooded with images, opinions, and chatter. But, every once in a while, things pop into your life and enhance it in a beautiful and meaningful way. My hope is that danapop will be that burst of relevance in your day.
So, pull up a chair, make yourself plenty comfortable–bookmark and check back often. I do hope you like it, and I do hope you stay a while.
Want more details? My first entry, The Sunshine in my Mind gives the whole pop.
